HOLLAND TWP. — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for suspects in a fight that escalated to a stabbing late Tuesday night.

The suspects and the victim fled the scene — the Falconwoods Apartment complex in Holland Township — before police arrived.

The incident started as a disagreement within a group of people who knew each other, said Sgt. Jay Douglas. It escalated to a fist fight and then to a fight with homemade objects and a knife before police were called shortly after 11 p.m.

Deputies searched for an hour before finding the juvenile victim, who had a cut on his arm, Douglas said. The youth’s parents took him to Holland Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department, Silent Observer at 877-88-SILENT or the Central Dispatch non-emergency line at 800-249-0911.
