One injured in truck, motorcycle crash

GEORGETOWN TWP. – Police responded to a truck and motorcycle crash Friday morning.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, a 72-year-old Jenison man traveling westbound on Baldwin Street didn’t see a motorcycle driven by a 48-year-old Grant man traveling eastbound and entering the intersection when he started turning left onto 28th Avenue. 

The driver from Grant had a green light and right of way. He was unable to avoid the collision and struck the passenger side of the Jenison man’s truck.

The motorcycle driver was injured and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital by Life EMS Ambulance. He was listed in stable condition.

The motorcycle driver was wearing at helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the truck was not injured.
