March Madness Beer Bracket advances to Elite Eight

The Tribune’s March Madness Beer Bracket is down to its Elite Eight.

All four beers entered by Grand Armory Brewing Company have advanced, along with three beers from Pigeon Hill Brewing Company and one from Trail Point Brewing Company.

The two matchups in this round are:

• Wheezin’ the Juice, Grand Armory, vs. Double IPA, Pigeon Hill

• Crop Duster Citra IPA, Grand Armory, vs. Your Mom on French Toast, Pigeon Hill

• Oatmeal Cream Pie, Pigeon Hill, vs. Nutter Your Business Peanut Butter Stout, Grand Armory

• CIPApotamus, Trail Point, vs. B.B.A. Double Down Imperial Brown, Grand Armory

Voting for the Elite Eight matchups will be open until Thursday, March 30. On Friday, March 31, the Final 4 pairings will be announced. Those semifinal matchups will be live until Sunday, April 2. On Monday, April 3, the final pairing will be announced, and voters will have until Friday, April 7 to choose their choice for the champion.

The Tribune’s March Madness Beer Bracket started with 28 beers from seven local breweries – Grand Armory in Grand Haven, Old Boys’ and Dutch Girl in Spring Lake, Pigeon Hill and Unruly in Muskegon, Fetch in Allendale and Trail Point in Allendale.

Beer fans voted for their favorites in the first two rounds, leading us to our Elite 8.
