ZEELAND TWP. — Police are asking the public for help in locating a Zeeland-area man who has been missing for a couple of days.

David Schaner, 58, was reported missing at about 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, from his home on 92nd Avenue in Zeeland Township.

“Initially, we did an area search and listed Schaner in our law enforcement network as missing and in danger,” said Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Schaner has some medical concerns, Buter said.

The man was last seen driving a blue 1991 Toyota Previa minivan, with Michigan license plate DPU 6141.

Schaner is described as white, with white hair and blue eyes. He is 5 feet, 6 inches tall; and weighs about 200 pounds.

If you should spot Schaner or the van, call Ottawa County Central Dispatch at 800-249-0911.
