The Grand Haven Department of Public Safety has investigated four motor vehicle thefts and multiple additional larceny reports of property stolen from unlocked vehicles within the city during the past month, according to the department’s Lt. Joe Boyle.

All of the vehicles were unlocked and the four vehicles stolen each had the keys left inside, Boyle said.

Vehicle owners are reminded to lock their vehicle doors and remove valuable merchandise that is in plain view to avoid being victimized.

“We also ask citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious subjects to police,” Boyle said.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact detectives from the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety at 616-842-3460 or through Silent Observer at 877-887-4536.
