SPRING LAKE TWP. — A 34-year-old Grand Haven man was injured when a car and motorcycle collided shortly before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on M-104 east of Fruitport Road.

The motorcyclist, Zarchary Shaw, was in stable condition following the 6:25 p.m. crash, said Sgt. Cal Keuning of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Shaw was listed in good condition Thursday afternoon at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon.

Emergency crews responded to the crash on the eastbound side of the highway, directly across from the Burger King restaurant in Spring Lake Township.

Police said Shaw was traveling east and that witnesses said that his headlight was not on at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car, Gregory Kobylak, 40, of Nunica, was not injured.

He was westbound on M-104, turned left into the driveway of All Shores Wesleyan Church and was struck by the motorcycle.

Eastbound traffic was slowed for a time after the crash, but not stopped. An ambulance transported the motorcyclist from the scene.
