DPW worker hit by car

A Grand Haven Department of Public Works employee was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital on Wednesday morning after being hit by a car. 

According the city’s public works director, Derek Gajdos, the employee was accessing a manhole in the alley behind The Baker’s Wife, 107 Washington Ave., adjacent to a dumpster enclosure. A vehicle traveling down the alley then hit the man.
