No injuries in crash involving GHAPS bus

A Grand Haven Area Public Schools bus was involved in a crash at the entrance to Grand Haven High School on Wednesday morning, Jan. 10. 

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, there were 32 students on the bus at the time of the crash. There were no injuries reported. 

Police said the crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m., when a car driven by a GHHS student turned left in front of the school bus. The bus struck the passenger side of the car. 

The driver of the car, a 16-year-old West Olive boy, was not injured. His name was not released. 

The teen was wearing a seat belt, police said, and was ticketed for failure to yield to a school bus.
