GRAND  HAVEN TWP. — One person suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover crash late Sunday evening on southbound U.S. 31 south of Grand Haven.

Emergency crews responded to the highway between Hayes Street and Rosy Mound Drive at around 8:40 p.m.

Police said that Mackenzie Puffer, 21, of Warren, was driving south on U.S. 31 in a 2001 Ford Expedition, left the road, overturned and struck a tree.

An ambulance transported her to North Ottawa Community Hospital, where she was treated and released.

What was left of the Memorial Day weekend holiday traffic was slowed, but able to continue through the area.

The crash remains under investigation, said Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Chris Dill.
