One person was injured in a two-car crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of Fulton and Griffin streets in Grand Haven.

An ambulance transported Donna McCulloch, 63, of Grand Haven to North Ottawa Community Hospital for a precautionary check due to her having recent surgery, said her grandson, Klayton Jaworowicz. Jaworowicz was a passenger in his grandmother’s vehicle.

McCulloch was driving her Volkswagen Jetta sedan east on Fulton when she was struck in the driver’s side door by a Jeep.

Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after 10:30 a.m.

The Jeep had been southbound on Griffin, stopped at Fulton, and then proceeded from the stop sign before striking the Jetta, according to Sgt. Lee Adams of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.

The driver of the Jeep, a 64-year-old Grand Haven woman, was not injured, police said. She was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Her name was not available.
