Grand Haven Public Safety officers are investigating the discovery of a body on Tuesday in a wooded area of Mulligan’s Hollow behind the YMCA.

Police responded shortly before 6 p.m. that day on a call of someone found unresponsive in a tent.

Upon arrival, they found the body of a 23-year-old male, with ties to the Grand Haven area, according to Lt. Joe Boyle.

The cause of death is pending an autopsy and the incident is still under investigation.

Boyle did not release the man’s name. The lieutenant said no further information would be released at this time.
