A 25-year-old Muskegon man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on the Grand River drawbridge Monday evening.

Kyle Christianson, a Spring Lake High School graduate, was taken by North Ottawa Community Hospital ambulance to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon following the 7:50 p.m. crash.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Christianson lost control of his motorcycle while driving north on the bridge in the center lane, according to Grand Haven Public Safety Director Jeff Hawke. The motorcycle crashed, causing Christianson to be ejected and slide across the pavement.

“Alcohol use is suspected in the crash and the incident will be reviewed by the (Ottawa County) Prosecutor’s Office for charges once the investigation is complete,” Hawke said.
