GRAND HAVEN TWP. — An ambulance transported one person to North Ottawa Community Hospital following a two-car crash early Tuesday afternoon on Comstock Street, west of 152nd Avenue.

Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 1:30 p.m.

Police said that David Barbrick, 67, of Grand Haven, driving a red Honda CRV, was leaving the Walmart store and attempting to go straight across Comstock Street to the Meijer store. That’s when he collided with a 2006 Toyota Prius driven by Linda Bischoff, 61, of Grand Haven. The Prius was westbound on Comstock.

Bischoff suffered head and neck injuries and was in stable condition at the hospital following the crash, according to Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Barbrick was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
