BLENDON TWP. — A West Olive man was in stable condition following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon at the intersection of 96th Avenue and New Holland Street.

Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at about 2:15 p.m.

Ricky Quillian, 61, was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson north on 96th Avenue, and then took evasive action when an eastbound driver stopped at the stop sign, and then started to proceed into the intersection, said Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Quillian locke up the brakes on the motorcycle, lost control and rolled over several times.

He did  not make contact with the other vehicle, Buter said.

An ambulance transported Quillian to Zeeland Hospital.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, Buter said.
