Police seek help in locating 'endangered' Coopersville man

UPDATE: Pickard was found safely shortly after midnight Friday and has been reunited with his family.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating a missing Coopersville man considered “endangered” because of medical conditions. 

Family members reported that Roger Pickerd, 53, left home on foot at around 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, and has not yet returned. 

According to police, Pickerd suffers from several medical conditions and is considered an “endangered missing person.”

Pickerd is a white male; 6-feet, 4-inches tall; and weighing around 215 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a camouflage zip-up hooded sweatshirt with dark undershirt, blue and white plaid shorts, knee-high white socks, blue/neon green hiking shoes, and a red baseball hat.
