A 40-year-old Muskegon woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash Wednesday morning on the east side of Grand Haven.

A North Ottawa Community Hospital ambulance transported the woman to Hackley Hospital in Muskegon following the crash. Her name was not released.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Despelder Street at 7:25 a.m. A vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Grand Haven woman was traveling south on Despelder and ran the stop sign at Fulton, according to Sgt. Josh Tomes of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.

The younger woman’s vehicle struck the Muskegon woman’s car, which was westbound on Fulton.

The Grand Haven woman was ticketed for failure to stop at a stop sign, Tomes said.
