HOLLAND TWP. — Both drivers were injured in a two-car crash early Thursday morning in the Holland area.

Emergency crews responded at 3:45 a.m. to the crash at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Riley Street in Holland Township.

John Hoffman, 53, of West Olive had a green light while traveling west through the intersection in a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck, police said. His vehicle was struck by a southbound 2002 Subaru Forester driven by Jesse Walsh, 39, of Holland.

Both men were alone in their vehicles at the time of the crash, according to Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Walsh suffered a head injury and was in stable condition after the crash at Holland Hospital.

An ambulance also transported Hoffman to Holland Hospital. He was treated for minor injuries and released, Ruster said.

The crash is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
