MUSKEGON — Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office deputies have identified the bodies of two men found last weekend.

Deputies said 27-year-old Raymond Coleman Jr. was shot and found in the trunk of a burned-out car on Saturday, Jan. 19.

The next day, the body of 33-year-old Antonio Wiggers was found inside a hotel room by workers at a Whitehall Township hotel.

Pathologists from Western Michigan University were able to identify the remains in the car as Coleman, and a single bullet wound was recovered from the body, as well.

The car that Coleman was found in led police to a second crime scene in Montague.

Investigators located an individual at that scene who was present at the home when Wiggers shot Coleman. Police said the witness didn't come forward earlier in the investigation due to fear of retaliation.

After Wiggers shot Coleman, he loaded the body into the trunk of the car and burned it along a two-track near the Village of Lakewood Club on Jan. 19, police said.

On Sunday, emergency personnel were called to the Rodeway Inn after a man was found unresponsive. Police identified the unresponsive body as Wiggers and determined the cause of death to be suicide.

Investigators are asking that anyone who may have seen or had contact with Wiggers between the evening of Jan. 18 and Jan. 19 to call the Muskegon County Sheriff's Office at 231-724-6658.
