GEORGETOWN TWP. — Police are looking for help identifying the suspect in another cellphone store break-in Tuesday morning in Jenison.

At around 4:30 a.m., a suspect broke a rear glass door of the T-Mobile Metro Store at 401 Baldwin St. and entered the building, according to Capt. Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect or suspects took phones and iPads from the display area and left the store in a very short time, Bennett said. They left in an unknown direction.

Bennett said it is believed that several recent similar crimes are related and detectives are working with other law enforcement agencies in West Michigan, including the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.

In Ottawa County alone, this is the eighth such incident since October 2018, Bennett said. Total losses in Ottawa County exceed $40,000.
