TALLMADGE TWP. — Three Tallmadge Township residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening, police said.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the crash at about 6:15 p.m. The investigation at the scene revealed that a 48-year-old man was driving a Lincoln MKX east on Lincoln Street when he stopped for a stop sign at the intersection with Eighth Avenue, and then proceeded into the intersection where his vehicle struck a southbound GMC Yukon driven by a 39-year-old woman.

Police noted that southbound Eighth Avenue does not have a stop sign at this intersection.

The driver and 50-year-old female passenger of the Lincoln were transported by a Life EMS ambulance to Metro Hospital in Grand Rapids in good condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the GMC was treated at the scene and released.

No names were released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
