Man hospitalized after Holland Twp. shooting

HOLLAND TWP. — A Holland man was hospitalized after he was shot in the early hours of Sunday, May 19.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched at 12:46 a.m. Sunday to the 13000 block of Westwood Lane in Holland Township for a report of a shot subject.

Deputies at the scene located a 37-year-old Holland man suffering a single gunshot wound.

Police also located a 37-year-old Holland Township man who was taken into custody for further questioning.

Sgt. Chris Dill of the sheriff’s office said there are no outstanding suspects in this incident, which remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.

The victim was taken via ambulance to a Grand Rapids hospital and his condition is unknown.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Holland Police Department, AMR Ambulance and Holland Township Fire/Rescue.
