Speed was a factor in the crash, according to Lt. Marc Vanderstelt of the Norton Shores Police Department. It was unknown whether or not alcohol or drugs were a factor at this time, he said. The crash remains under investigation.

The driver was treated at the scene, Vanderstelt said.
A passenger, a Muskegon woman in her 20s, was in stable condition at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon following the crash.
Their names were not released.
