ROBINSON TWP. - One person was injured in a 2-car crash Saturday evening at the intersection of M-231 and Lincoln Street.

An ambulance transported a 60-year-old Zeeland woman to a Zeeland hospital after the 6:38 p.m. crash.

Police said the crash occurred when a 21-year-old California man, who was driving a Nissan Altima east on Lincoln, failed to stop at the M-231 intersection and pulled into the path of a northbound Buick Park Avenue. The vehicles collided.

Lincoln Street traffic is required to stop at the intersection. Traffic on M-231 has the right-of-way.

Neither the driver of the Buick, a 54-year-old Zeeland man, nor the driver of the Nissan, was injured.

The injured woman was a passenger in the Buick. Her injuries were non-life-threatening, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Robinson Township firefighters and North Ottawa Community Hospital paramedics assisted at the scene.
