Long-running classified ad?

Connie of Grand Haven asked, “Why has Murray Swiftney had a disclaimer printed in the Tribune classifieds for a year?”

Swiftney ran that announcement until recently. Why? He wouldn’t say.

When I contacted Swiftney, he referred me to his attorney, but then declined to tell me his attorney’s name.

In case you missed it, here it is:

“I would like to announce as of Nov. 2, 2015, I Murray C. Swiftney am no longer affiliated with Right Choice Online Auctions, MIOA of Grand Haven. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my past customers and I wish the best of the new owner.”

According to the Better Business Bureau of West Michigan website, Swiftney and Hope Tripp are listed as the co-owners of Right Choice Online Auctions LLC, which has been in business in Grand Haven since 2011. Right Choice’s website now only lists Tripp as the owner.

By the way, the company has an “A-plus” rating from the BBB and no complaints listed.
