Adopt-A-Highway is a Michigan Department of Transportation program designed to help keep the state's highway roadsides clean and attractive. Participants adopt both sides of a section of state highway roadside to clean up over a two-year period.

The Rotary Club of Grand Haven adopted the stretch of U.S. 31 from Robbins Road to Ferris Street in Grand Haven Township. Rotarians collected dozens of bags of trash in the early morning hours of July 21.

Helping out were Rotarians Paul McNergney, Stacey Trowbridge, Bill Redeker, Dean Reisner, Club President David Swain, Chris Mountford and Pat McGinnis.
