SPRING LAKE — Bike Week continues through Saturday in Spring Lake.

Yoga was the featured activity during the Thursday evening Peace in the Park event at Spring Lake’s Central Park.

Tonight, a Big Kids Bike Bash runs from 7-11 in the Jackson Street parking lot between Seven Steps Up and Weiss Chiropractic. Leave the kiddos home for this one, as it's a 21-and-older party with live music by Natchez Trace.

Saturday's slate is full, beginning with a scavenger hunt from 9-11 a.m. At Weiss Chiropractic, 124 W. Savidge St. Families will run throughout the village in search of items.

At 11:30 a.m., a kids pedal parade rolls out from the downtown clock tower at Jackson and Savidge streets. Decorate your bike and join in a parade down the bike path to Central Park, where you'll find a lot more fun waiting from noon to 3 p.m. Hot dogs, chips and beverages will also be for sale at the park.

Activities include a bike rodeo with bike safety instruction, a riding skills test in the ice rink, kickball games, a Boy Scouts live foosball game, basketball training and contests, pickleball lessons by the Lakeshore Pickleball Club, and instruction on how to mount a bike on the front of a Harbor Transit bus. Other events include a water runoff table that shows people how the chemicals they use eventually land in Spring Lake, sidewalk chalk for the little ones and the grand finale – the 2:30 p.m. drawing for the bikes. You may register any place you see an orange flag and bike around town. You must be present to win.
