Located at 1 Y Drive in Grand Haven, the Y is also offering a “no joining fee” membership special through Sept. 30.
This is a free event and open to the public. Guests are welcome to try out a fitness class — the daily schedule is posted at the Y’s website, www.tcfymca.org.
The Y will also be offering free child care for those who wish to try out a class or utilize the pool, weight room or cardio theater. Staff from the Learning Tree Preschool will also be available to give tours of the classrooms, share information about the curriculum and explain the registration process. Free Jungle Gym is available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for parents with children ages 6 and younger.
Facility tours begin at 8 a.m.
“This is a great opportunity for individuals and families in our community to check out what the Y has to offer,” CEO Greg Coil said. “Through our annual scholarship campaign and community pricing initiative, we work to ensure membership and program access for all.”
The YMCA offers scholarships and financial assistance to those who qualify.
“Our annual campaign is to raise funds to make sure our doors are open to everybody,” added Membership/Marketing Director David Burdo. “We have activities for kids of all ages — swim lessons, our outstanding gymnastics program, youth sports. And we started introducing ninja courses, which are really popular.”
