The Salvation Army in Grand Haven will host a special time of inspirational music with Colin Dexter at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 28.

Dexter is an Elvis tribute artist and usually does a wide variety of music, but he will perform inspirational music that will encourage and move the listener at The Salvation Army, 310 N. DeSpelder St. Admission is free.

The 19-year-old Jackson man began to be connected with Elvis through his love of Presley’s movies and music. Dexter has performed professionally since the age of 13. He has been signed to Echota Records USA, where he is recognized as a country music artist. Dexter has been called an “old soul with a powerful voice and a big heart.”

Maj. Jay Davis of The Salvation Army saw Dexter in concert and stated, “Colin has a wonderful heart and a talent that is up-lifting.”
