GRAND HAVEN TWP. – Government units and the local Chamber of Commerce recognized five businesses on Wednesday.

Held at the American Dunes Golf Club, formerly Grand Haven Golf Club, recipients of the 33rd annual Business Recognition Awards luncheon included A Lasting Impression, INC., of the City of Ferrysburg; Noto’s at the Bil-Mar, of the City of Grand Haven; Acquario Salon, of Grand Haven Township; Busche Aluminum Technologies, of Spring Lake Township; and Weiss Chiropractic Wellness Center, of the Village of Spring Lake.

District 9 Commissioner Philip Kuyers presented the five businesses with proclamations from county and State of Michigan officials in recognition of their work.

“On behalf of the county and the county commissioners, these are tributes to the people that make Ottawa county a great place to live and be,” he said.

JSJ Corp. and North Ottawa Community Health System were also recognized for 100 years of service to the community.

The Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg President Joy Gaasch said it’s unique for as many companies to celebrate 100 years as there are in the area. Gaasch said she looks forward to 100 years more with the businesses recognition on Wednesday and what they will pass onto future generations.
