He was born May 5, 1941, in Chicago to Bruno and Stella (Czop) Bertucci. On November 10, 1962, he married Janice Kucharski in Rosemont, IL.
Richard worked for Wilson Sporting Goods for over 43 years. He was a member of St. Patrick–St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Haven, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, and volunteered with the food pantry and the summer festival. He served in the U.S. Marines for four years and was also a member of the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post 28 and the Grand Haven Eagles FOE 925. Richard enjoyed traveling, golfing and following his grandchildren in whatever sport they were playing, especially wrestling.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons: Ronald (Donna) Bertucci of Belmont, Jeffrey (Sherri) of Denver, NC; four grandchildren: Thomas, Tricia, Colin and Camden. He is also survived by two brothers: Thomas (Rose) Bertucci, and James Bertucci; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruno and Stella; brother, Donald Bertucci; sisters-in-law, Arlene Bertucci, and Christine Peaslee.
A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Father William Langlois officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contribution in memory of Richard may be given to the St. Patrick–St. Anthony Capital Campaign, St. Patrick-St. Anthony Food Pantry, or the American Cancer Society.
