Robert L. French

Robert Lewis French, 56, former Grand Haven resident, passed away at his home in Paris, Tennessee, on Monday, January 8, 2018.

Robert was a graduate of Fruitport High School and was currently working for Tosh Farms out of Martin, Tennessee. He was a family man with an incredible skill as a craftsman who could build and fix anything with his hands.

He is survived by his children: Leann (Marcus) Pitts, Travis (Nichole) Hall, Marcus French and Benjamin (Meaghan) French; and his grandchildren: Parker, Julian, Olivia, Wyatt, Lundyn and Aria. He is also survived by his brother, Ernest French; his sisters, Brenda McClain and Judy Olsen; and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ollie French; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Steve Prairie.

The family is planning a private life celebration to be held in April, with his nephew David Prairie officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
