She was born in Sturgis, MI, to Emerson and Marjorie (Kellogg) Remenap. A graduate of Sturgis High School, Glen Oaks CC, and Davenport University, Dayle married Michael Staff in 1971.
Dayle had a life-long love of singing and was blessed with a great voice. Many of her happiest times were spent singing barbershop music with the West Shore Chorus of Sweet Adelines. She was the current president of that group and she loved all of her “Sisters in Harmony.”
Dayle was a warm-hearted woman who was loved and will be missed. She enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, reading, watching TV, games, puzzles, cards, baking and dining out. Dayle also loved her Detroit Tigers and playing golf. She worked for several years at Ottawa County's Lakeshore Coordinating Council and for Michigan's Work First program.
Dayle is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael Staff; daughter, Emily Staff of Kalamazoo, MI; son, Jacob (Sarah) Staff and granddaughter Maren A. Staff of Woodinville, WA; twin sister, Gayle (Melvin) Clouse of Hudsonville, MI; brother, Guy (Marsha) Remenap of Glendale, AZ; brother, Mark (Rudy) Remenap of Mesa, AZ.; mother-in-law, Harriet Hall of Wildwood, FL; sister-in-law, Martha (David) Stone of The Villages, FL; brother-in-law, Robert “Jack” Staff of Sandpoint, ID; and many nieces and nephews.
Dayle was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Chris Remenap.
The memorial service for Dayle will be held on 4/21/18 at the Nortonville Gospel Chapel, 14528 Leonard Road, Spring Lake, MI, with family visitation at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch.
