Kathy McKee Plant

• Aug 21, 2018 at 12:00 AM

On Saturday, August 18, 2018, God decided He needed a wonderful contralto voice for His angel choir (and she had to be short enough for the front row). He made His choice and took Kathy Joy Plant home to be with Him.

Kathy was born February 13,1955, to Alfred and Rhoda (Sparks) McKee in Grand Haven, Michigan. She graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1973. She enjoyed camping, bonfires and crocheting among other things, but she most of all enjoyed her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; and both her brothers, Dan and Randy McKee. She will be very much missed by her sister, Sandie (Phil) Campbell of Kentucky; her children: Diana Plant of Wayland, Michigan, Paul (Kate) Jachim of Muskegon, Michigan, and Michael (Toria) Plant of Grand Haven; the father of her children, Mark (Norma) Plant.; many nieces, nephews and "spare" kids; and her fur(less) baby, Cream. The four brightest lights of her life — Summer, Logan, Amy and Zoey (her grandchildren) — who will always miss their Grandma because she loved them so much.

There will be no funeral per her request, but there will be a celebration of her life Saturday, August 25, from 2-6 p.m. at Pottawattomie Park in Grand Haven, Michigan.
