She was born January 24, 1928, in Hofa Park, Wisconsin, to John and Bertha Radecki; and married Robert J. LeMense on March 31, 1951, in Pulaski, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2007.
Lucille worked in customer service at area banks for over 30 years. She was a very active member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of Grand Haven Eagles Aerie 925 and the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post 28 Auxiliary. Lucille was a passionate Green Bay Packers and Michigan State University fan, and enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was an avid walker in the Rosy Mound area, loved picking blueberries and baking her delicious blueberry coffee cake. Lucille also volunteered in Grand Haven with the election polls and elementary schools.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Michael (Nancy) LeMense of Los Angeles, Calif., Mary (Jim) Fishel of Norton Shores, Kathy (Frank) Nelson of Scituate, Mass., and Robert (Leslie) LeMense of South Carolina; eight grandchildren: Todd LeMense, Leslie (Michael) Ensing, Megan (Neil Evans) LeMense, Matthew Nelson, Andrew (Nicole) Padilla, Laura Nelson, Michael Nelson and Tyler LeMense; great-grandchild, Landon Padilla; brothers, Leonard (Janet) Radecki and Richard Radecki; sisters-in-law, Theresa “Tess” Radecki and Susan Radecki; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Regina Schuppe; and brothers, Chester and Arthur Radecki.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2019, at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Schwartz as celebrant. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment will be in Lakeshore Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church.
