Thomas Henry Linkous, age 69, of Grand Haven, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born February 17, 1950, in Harlan, Ky., to Fredrick and Pauline (Cooper) Linkous.

Tom worked as a machinist for Lakeshore Fitting Company for 25 years, and was a former coach of the Tri-Cities Little League Baseball and Football. Tom enjoyed watching NASCAR races and was a fan of most sports; when he wasn’t watching a Detroit Tigers or Detroit Red Wings game, you could find him bowling with his buddies or out golfing. Tom was a good father who valued spending time with his family, and especially loved being a grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tom will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 44 years, Connie; two daughters, Julie (Shawn) Kuck and Jenny Linkous (Chris Hopkins); son, Seth Linkous (Bobbi Defeyter); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Marilyn Sonnenberg; sister, Rita (Thomas) Golden; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Randy) Gravel and Joann Newhouse; brother, Larry (Colleen) Linkous; brother-in-law, David (Cheryl) Sonnenberg; and his faithful canine companion, Angel. He was preceded in death by one brother; four sisters; and father-in-law, Clarence Sonnenberg.

A Memorial Service for Tom will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. Full Military Rites will be performed by the American Legion, Charles A. Conklin Post 28. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
