After graduating from Grand Haven High school in 1965, he attended Ferris State and Western Michigan Universities. Dana served his country in the Navy for six years, two of which were active duty, and was honorably discharged. He worked a variety of professions in Chicago, Kalamazoo and along the West Michigan Lakeshore, most notably in the medical field, nursery and real estate professions.
Dana was an avid golfer, who enjoyed playing the game as much as following the professionals and talking golf at any occasion.
He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Marialice W. LaPorte, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Frederick S. Pelton.
There will be a private celebration of Dana’s life by friends and classmates at a later date.
Arrangements are by The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417. Share memories of Dana on his personal tribute site at www.sytsemafh.com.
