Three young soccer fans from Grand Haven got the opportunity of a lifetime last Saturday, serving as flag bearers at the University of Michigan Stadium before the start of the International Champions Cup (ICC) match between Manchester United and Liverpool Football Club.

Peyton Moroney, 12; Carson Moroney, 10; and Owen Burgess, 10, were chosen by McDonald's of Michigan to serve as flag bearers, along with 16 other children from across the state. An audience of more than 101,000 people at the stadium saw the game, and hundreds of thousands more on ESPN and various live streaming apps.

Carson Moroney and Owen Burgess are members of the Lakeshore Select Soccer Club in Grand Haven. It was a great opportunity for these young Grand Haven soccer fans to see the world's best soccer players up close on the field and be part of the ICC experience.
