Assuming at least 50 boats enter, the angler who catches the largest king (chinook) salmon will take home $1,250. Second place receives $650, and $500 goes to third place. The top five places receive cash pay-outs, and the sixth through 10th places receive prizes.

A prize will also be given out for the largest non-king salmon weighed in during the event. Eligible species include coho salmon, steelhead, lake trout and brown trout.

An optional captain’s meeting will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Municipal Marina parking lot, inside the fish boil tent.
