Trolley, Beach Express service to pause Saturday

Harbor Transit will be halting some of its services on Saturday, Aug. 4, in response to the event-filled Coast Guard Festival day.

Due to the festival’s Grand Parade and other activities taking place that day, the historic Harbor Trolley ride will be suspended for the day. The Beach Express service will also be suspended for the day due to certain streets along the parade route being closed.

Although these services will be halted, Harbor Transit plans to provide added bus service through its Park ’n’ Ride and Harbor Island shuttle services. These services will be offered beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and run until after the fireworks show late that night.

For a complete schedule of times and locations for the shuttle service, visit www.harbortransit.org.
