Construction projects on Harbor Drive in Grand Haven will begin Monday.

Traffic control will be set up on Columbus Avenue, with closure of the right turn lane on Harbor Drive northbound onto Columbus so traffic doesn’t accumulate trying to merge, city officials said.

During the following week, Aug. 27-31, a water main will be replaced on Columbus Avenue. In early September, Harbor Drive will be closed for the duration of the project, with the removal of street, curb and gutters, while leaving the sidewalk intact.

During the sewer work on Columbus, residents living on the western corner of First Street and Columbus will be able to enter and exit the parking lot from Covenant Life Church, beginning Wednesday.

Road work is scheduled to wrap up during the week of Nov. 19.

Monday’s work will coincide with a conversion of Columbus from a one-way to a two-way street.
