The new route that was originally planned for Monday through Wednesday of this week will be moved from First Street and Clinton Avenue to Second Street and Lafayette.
This temporary route is expected to be lifted Monday, Oct. 8.
Sewer bypass pumps will occupy both intersections of Franklin and First and Clinton and Harbor, with work expected to be finished by Friday evening. However, city officials say there is a chance work will continue through the weekend.
Next week, contractors will finish testing the water main north of Washington Avenue, begin removing the old sanitary sewer line and continue installing the storm sewer infrastructure.
The following week, buildings on Harbor and Columbus north of Washington will be connected to water services, as installation and testing are completed.
