The resurfacing project actually kicks off today (Thursday, April 18) with the milling of the streets ahead of the paving, April 22-26.

Affected roads include:

— Hayes Street from 168th to the dead end

— Waverly Avenue from Moreland to the north for 400 feet

— Howard Avenue from Butler to Fourth

— Sherman Avenue from Butler to Howard

— Third Street from Franklin to Columbus

— Washington Avenue from Sixth to Seventh

— Butler Street from Williams to Howard

— Taylor Avenue from Beacon to Despelder

— Woodlawn Avenue from Beacon to Despelder

— Grand Avenue from Beacon to Ferry

— Doris Court from Doris to the dead end.

During the milling and resurfacing, there will be “no parking, tow-away zone” signs posted.

Contractors will maintain through-traffic at all locations except for Waverly Avenue, which will be closed to through-traffic April 22. Detour signs will be posted.
