Detectives from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene of yet another cell phone store burglary this morning following incidents overnight Monday and Tuesday in Georgetown and Allendale Townships.

Deputies responded to an alarm coming from the T-Mobile store at 12359 James St. at 6:14 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered a smashed front door. An unknown amount of items were taken and an inventory was being conducted.

Police are also investigating burglaries that occurred shortly after 4 a.m. Monday at the Verizon Wireless store at 7589 Cottonwood Drive in Georgetown Township and just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the T-Mobile store at 6101 Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale Township.

In both cases, entry was gained by smashing out a front window, according to OCSD Capt. Mark Bennett.

Detectives have been in contact with other agencies to further the investigations, he said.

Glad to hear they are putting officers in the buildings at night to catch them.
