Tuesday’s lunch with veterans was the 14th year in Michelle Maitner’s seventh-grade class at Lakeshore Middle School.
GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Nearly 90 families gathered for dinner and an evening of reading activities at Peach Plains Elementary School this week.
Money raised by the annual luncheon is dispersed by Christmas to local nonprofits that apply and give presentations for grants.
The Sgt. Alvin Jonker VFW Post 2326 will host a ceremony at Grand Haven’s Central Park and the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post 28 will host a separate ceremony at the Eternal Flame.
