GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Some local high school students are working to develop solutions to real-world problems this summer.
To commemorate Loutit District Library’s current building turning 10 years old, and the library celebrating 20 years as a district operation, an open house is planned for 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the library, 407 Columbus Ave.

Children in the Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority’s performing arts camp will be staging “Junie B. Jones: The Musical Jr.” at 7 p.m. July 19 and 2 p.m. July 20.
With camp counselors and members of Boy Scout Troop 246, campers had one-on-one “fishing guides” for the outing.
The event will be staged at Generation Care, 16760 Lincoln St., Grand Haven Township. The Trot Tot will start the evening at 6:45, followed by the 5K at 7.
Officials expect to serve more than 40,000 meals at 36 sites throughout the county this summer.
