In his book, “When God Whispers Your Name,” the well-known Christian writer and pastor Max Lucado tells about the words found in a Christmas card he received one year. He says that he reads them every year at Christmas time to remind himself what Christmas is really all about.

The words go like this: “If our greatest need had been for information, God would have sent an educator. If our greatest need had been for technology, God would have sent us a scientist. If our greatest need had been for money, God would have sent us an economist. But since our greatest need was forgiveness, God sent us a Savior.”
