In the movie, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” the Clark Griswold character falling off his ladder while attempting to put up his Christmas lights comes across as funny. In the real world, falling off the roof is anything but comical.
That’s what inspired a few local landscaping businesses to branch out and begin offering a new service – holiday light installation.
I like driving through SL and wondering what lights are the ones I paid $1700 for. We had Lakeshore Aquascapes for our house one year. They said that the first year would be expensive because of purchasing the lights but the second would be way less expensive. It wasn't. We saved nothing the second year, meanwhile they got to keep our lights that we purchased. The first year we had bulbs that burned out on our house, so I doubt they buy new strings of lights for every new order they get.
