U.S. News & World Report announced its top public elementary, middle and high school rankings in the state of Michigan on Tuesday and eight Tri-Cities schools chiseled their way into the top 50.

Leading the way in the elementary school rankings was Rosy Mound Elementary School, in Grand Haven Township, which ranked No. 9 in the state.
