Kindergartners prepare for their Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday. On Monday night, the Spring Lake school board will consider whether or not to add a developmental kindergarten program for the 2020-21 school year.

SPRING LAKE — A new educational program for young children is being considered in the Spring Lake school district.

The Spring Lake Public Schools Board of Education is expected this coming Monday to make a decision about whether or not to implement a full-day developmental kindergarten program beginning in the 2020-21 school year. The plan would add one section of developmental kindergarten at Holmes and Jeffers elementary schools.
