WEST OLIVE — A group of Ottawa County residents attended a civilian response to an active shooter training Monday night at the Sheriff’s Office complex, led by Sgt. Chris Koster.

“I might have all these cool things on my belt,” Koster said in front of the class of 14, in the main conference room of the Fillmore Complex. “But you guys are the first responders.”
