The city of Grand Haven is blocking off parts of several streets — including the first block of Washington Avenue in the downtown – to allow restaurants and other businesses to expand outdoors.

This shift allows businesses to more effectively accommodate customers amid state mandates for social distancing within restaurants and shops, city officials say.
